Rodolfo Campodónico was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1938, and in 1961 began his career with illustrations of Latin American authors. 

As a painter, muralist, illustrator and printmaker, he toured the country and brought their work to Mexico, Uruguay, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Chile and Peru , and is part of a select group of artists who transformed the arts in our country in recent years. 

He resided in Lauquen Dam here for several years and left his mark on pictorial dozens of public and private spaces. Among the most prominent are the murals in the entrance hall of the Municipal Palace, the Commander, the atrium of the Church of Our Lady of Sorrows and the Historical Museum.
