Design: Features a portrait of George Washington on the left and a blue Treasury seal and blue serial numbers (D37912354A). The reverse has a prominent image of a bald eagle clutching a U.S. flag in its talons.
Historical Significance: These notes were part of an emergency issue during World War I to address a currency shortage created by the Pittman Act. They are the first and only large-sized $1 Federal Reserve Bank Notes ever issued.
Condition Notes: XF Condition. Crisp bill. Uneven margins. Sharp corners. May have insignificant folds. Minimal creases and fold lines on the bill. Normal discoloration and yellowing from age and use. No graffiti or pinholes. No major problems. No tears. No stains.
