Lands of Enchantment by Norman Rockwell TruChrome LE Print 43 x 34 Framed w/ CoA

Lands of Enchantment by Norman Rockwell TruChrome LE Print 43 x 34 Framed w/ CoA

  • "Lands of Enchantment" TruChrome framed limited edition print, by Norman Rockwell.
  • This piece features a young boy imagining himself as an armor-clad knight riding away with a beautiful girl. However, the point is not the boy reading, but how the book inspires the boy’s imagination, taking him, in idealized form, to another time and place.
  • Rockwell truly reflected the currents of American life and times, from his earliest drawings to the patriotic themes of World War II to more politically oriented themes in his later years. His genius was in being able to capture the essence of what is now considered largely 'an America vanished.' Before the media revolution and television, people looked forward to and identified with Rockwell's magazine covers. The Norman Rockwell covers captured the emotions of the times, not only that which was, but what people would have liked life to be.
  • The original work was featured in the 2011 Smithsonian American exhibition titled "Telling Stories: Norman Rockwell from the Collections of George Lucas and Steven Spielberg."
  • Part of the American Classic Art Collection from the National Museum of American Illustration (NMAI) and Quinn Publishing.
  • Beautifully framed (42.5 x 33.25 inches) print of "Lands of Enchantment" originally completed in 1923.
  • This print is numbered 4 from a limited edition of 475, executed in 2008.
  • A certificate of authenticity from the NMAI is attached to the reverse of the frame.
Excerpt from the NMAI's website regarding the TruChrome process:
  • Quinn Publishing has joined the NMAI forming a team dedicated to creating the finest grade art prints extant. After more than two years of testing and prototyping, Quinn Publishing and its illustrious team has selected a digital manufacturing process and material components which far exceed global standards for the replication of art images. The outcome of this remarkable collaborative effort is a new level of fine art reproduction, known as TruChrome™ fine art prints. This is a unique, trademarked process, heralded in the art world as the latest milestone since Glicleé, Iris, silk screening, lithography, and wood block prints. There are no better reprographics than the TruChrome™ Limited Editions.
  • Every TruChrome™ print, is constructed with a ph neutral polyester and cotton blended fabric with patented cross-linked gelatin ink receptors upon which large-molecule pigmented, aqueous inks are applied. Highly trained technical artists hand apply specific embellishments for further detail, texture and accuracy, depending upon the art work itself. The TruChrome™ prints are coated with a non-yellowing ultra-violet light blocker, specifically designed to not crack over time. Consequently, TruChrome™ longevity is estimated at over 200 years and it’s accuracy is indisputable, arguably the best replication of art works ever created world wide.
