- Jorge Jimenez Deredia was born in Costa Rican, and raised in Italy. His early adolescent works were carved portraits of wood and stone. He then became inspired by organic shapes and the environment. He was influenced by Brunelleschi, Alberti, and Michelangelo while honing his craft in Florence.
