- "Lands of Enchantment" TruChrome framed limited edition print, by Norman Rockwell.
- This piece features a young boy imagining himself as an armor-clad knight riding away with a beautiful girl. However, the point is not the boy reading, but how the book inspires the boyâs imagination, taking him, in idealized form, to another time and place.
- Rockwell truly reflected the currents of American life and times, from his earliest drawings to the patriotic themes of World War II to more politically oriented themes in his later years. His genius was in being able to capture the essence of what is now considered largely 'an America vanished.' Before the media revolution and television, people looked forward to and identified with Rockwell's magazine covers. The Norman Rockwell covers captured the emotions of the times, not only that which was, but what people would have liked life to be.
- The original work was featured in the 2011 Smithsonian American exhibition titled "Telling Stories: Norman Rockwell from the Collections of George Lucas and Steven Spielberg."
